Poison Control and Mustaches

Today was a first for the Boss and me. I was cleaning his room, my mom was washing dishes, and he was playing in my room. All of a sudden, my mom says, "Did you brush your teeth with something?...oh no, oh no!". I ran in to see what was going on and a previously full, huge bottle of ACT mouthwash was laying on the floor, almost empty. I smelled his breath to see if he had swallowed any. Sure enough, his breath was minty fresh!

I called Poison Control right away. The guy on the phone said if he drank a lot of it, he would throw it up and I didn't need to worry but did need to give him milk. The Boss acted pretty normally today and I am so glad he didn't drink a ton of mouthwash!

A few nights ago I found a set of three mustaches still in the package in the parking lot outside of my apartment. I tried to find out who they belonged to but no one claimed them. The Boss and I had a few laughs with them today!

Mad for mustaches....

Sharing the 'stache.

Old man face!

Prayers and Lemon Curd

The Boss said his first real prayer tonight. Usually he squints his eyes closed and folds his arms to pray but this time he actually said a prayer that sounded like this, "Dear....Hebenwy Fabber.......tank dor blah blah blah. Lubb ooo, sweep. Aim of Jesus Kyst, amen!" He clapped his hands and said, "Yay!" at the end. This growing up business is such an adventure.

I just finished making homemade lemon curd. If you don't know what that is, go to this site http://www.tomaytotomaaahto.com/2011/09/rustic-lemon-curd.html where I got my recipe and make some because it is DELICIOUS!

This is the epitome of yummy-ness:

Hats, hats and more hats!

So this week has been filled with one major obsession for me...crocheting hats! Last Saturday I went to the Farmer's Market in Provo and came across a lovely little owl hat. The Boss looked so adorable in it that I wanted to buy one right then and there. But when I saw the $25 price tag, I turned and ran. I decided to go home and create one for him. This is what I came up with...
Unfortunately, I learned very quickly that the Boss HATES hats. The longest he will wear one is 30 seconds. So after lots of positive response from friends and their kids, I decided to make and sell these hats for kids who WILL wear them. Prices are $18.00 per hat, not including shipping. More pictures of different styles are located in the BUY HATS tab right under the header. Enjoy!
